As of 2016, the Colorado Department of Revenue requires that all Cannabis products use the universal symbol below on packaging and directly on edible products to signify that the product contains cannabis. Educate yourself and your out-of-town guests about what this symbol means. Be sure to teach your kids not to eat or drink anything with this symbol. And remember to always store cannabis products safely.
Here's what else you should know about the law:
- The symbol must be on all product packaging and stamped onto edibles (where possible).
- The symbol contains the letters "THC" which stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol, the chemical in cannabis that makes you feel “high.”
